Outback BBQ T-Bone Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 Kg Bone-in T-Bone Steak
  • 20g BBQ Bens All Purpose Rub
  • 50ml of BBQ Sauce
  • Unsweetened Apple Juice (optional)

Directions

1.

Season steak with BBQ Rub

Apply approximately 20g of the BBQ Ben “All Purpose Rub” and massage into meat.

2.

Grill steak on a high heat

Grill the steak for 10 minutes on each side for a medium rare steak, aiming for a core temperature of 70 to 75°C (158 to 167°F).

3.

Spray regularly with Apple Juice (optional)

Regularly spritz the meat with unsweetened apple juice to help retain moisture and encourage caramelisation.

4.

Apply BBQ glaze

During the final few minutes of grilling, brush liberally with warmed BBQ sauce.

5.

Leave to rest

Leave steak to rest for 5 minutes to help retain moisture.

6.

Serve

Once rested, slice thickly and serve!

Accompany with BBQ Beans and BBQ Plantains.
