Using Outback’s Comet Kettle Charcoal Barbecue
Our kettle charcoal BBQ grill delivers the rich, smoky taste that only charcoal provides. And we chose porcelain enamel for the hood and body hold because it holds heat effectively and is easy to clean after cooking.
Assembly is straightforward, not fiddly or time consuming. And it’s sturdy once assembled you can be confident when you’re grilling. A built-in chrome heat indicator lets you check temperatures at a glance. With the grill size of 540 mm, it’s compact enough to be practical but large enough so that you can grill burgers, chicken, vegetables, or roast larger cuts with confidence. It also works well for light smoking.
Our classic kettle shape plays a big role in how well this barbecue cooks too. Heat circulates evenly around the grill area for consistent results. You can sear over direct heat or cook gently using indirect heat zones.
We’ve built the Comet with adjustable air vents to give you simple control over airflow and temperature. Opening or closing the vents lets you raise or lower heat as needed. This makes the barbecue accessible for beginners while still flexible for experienced cooks.
The dome hood also helps retain moisture during cooking. Your food stays tender while absorbing that familiar charcoal taste.
Cleaning is always the anti-climax to any great cookout. But the Comet’s large ash collector beneath the grill comes out cleanly, helping you dispose of ash without unnecessary mess.
Outback branded hub-capped wheels protect the wheel fittings from dirt and moisture. But more importantly, help you to move the barbecue wherever you need to go. You can move it easily around the garden or store it away when not needed. At 15.1kg, the Comet is easy to handle but never flimsy.
The Outback Comet Kettle is ideal if you want traditional and practical charcoal cooking.
