Outback announce new MD
Following the retirement of Outback UK founder, Eric Hopper, Outback UK has appointed Darren Murphy to the role of Joint Managing Director.
We owe a great debt to our founder, Eric Hopper, and hope he will enjoy a long and happy retirement. Eric will still be involved in Board meetings and the strategic direction of the business but the day to day running of he business will now be handled by Julie Channer and Darren Murphy.
Darren Murphy joined Outback UK in the position of Finance Director. His role, however, has become a much wider one than simply focusing on the finances of the business so we are delighted to announce that, from the 8th October, Darren became Joint Managing Director of Outback UK.
Darren and Julie will now be jointly involved in every aspect of running the business and, we are sure that having both a sales and a finance background at the head of the business will give us the best vantage point to move forwards.
